From Group to TEAM Training
June 12-13th, 2018
Greetings! Susan Leahy here from Group To TEAM Leadership Solutions Inc. Freeman and I had such an amazing time with you at the training. It was a gift getting to know each of you and having the opportunity to introduce you to Group to TEAM. This powerful content can create a mighty ripple effect within VF that will empower and inspire others to generate more TEAM!
The information below can remind your of our work together and help continue the Group to TEAM conversation at VF. Thank you again for sharing your time, energy and life with us.
GROUP TO TEAM REVEIW CONTENT
Here is some Group to TEAM review content to support your learning and retention!
Check your mindset
Is your mindset fixed or is your mindset growth? The best way to move from a fixed mindset is to get curious. "HMMMMMMMM"
Get intentional about what you are committed to creating
What do I want to think or feel?
"I GENERATE TEAM!"
Group isn't negative, it is normal!
Group is simply the default setting. It is the starting point. It is a pattern. When you experience a power struggle, where two people "want to be right" about their idea or opinion, use it as an indicator. Your frustration with co-workers indicates that you are in a group that wants to generate the experience of TEAM.
TEAM is not a destination. TEAM is an experience that you get to keep generating!
The Core Premise of Group to TEAM
Premise – You only have two options: 1-group or 2-TEAM. Everything you do, say, think or feel is either keeping you in group or elevating you to TEAM.
"Where are you throwing your energy?"
The Difference Between a Group and a TEAM
When people are operating from the mindset of “group”, their choices organize around “self-interest”. When people operate as a team, they are organizing their choices, attitude and attention around a “shared interest”. Group is the normal way that people who come together interact, while TEAM needs to be earned.
The question that our program constantly elicits is:
Am I being Group? or Am I being TEAM?
"My name is ____________________ and I am a ____________________, ____________________, ____________________ man/woman/person."
YES YOU ARE!
Where are you standing? Are you in the back of your boat or the front of your boat?
Are your having conversations for possibility or are you having conversations for no-possibility? Is your language leading to coordinated action?
Stay tuned! We will be in contact soon with the dates of our Group to TEAM integration webinar.
Eric offered to set up a room for you all to meet in together to take the experience up a notch.
Freeman and I will be in touch next week with the webinar date. We can't wait to see you all again.
